🧾 Ingredients

↪️For the Steak:

2 lbs round steak, cut into portions

Salt & black pepper, to taste

½ cup all-purpose flour

2 tbsp vegetable oil

↪️For the Sauce:

1 large onion, sliced

1 green bell pepper, sliced

1 red bell pepper, sliced

3 garlic cloves, minced

1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes

1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce

1 cup beef broth

1 tbsp Wan Ja Shan Organic Worcestershire Sauce

1 tsp smoked paprika

½ tsp dried thyme

1 tbsp cornstarch + 1 tbsp water (optional, for thickening)

Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

👨‍🍳 Instructions

1. ✅ Prep the Steak
Season steak pieces with salt and pepper. Lightly dredge in flour to help create a flavorful crust.

2. ✅ Sear for Flavor
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Brown steak 2–3 minutes per side. Work in batches to avoid crowding.

3. ✅ Layer the Flavor
Transfer browned steak to a slow cooker. Add onions, peppers, and garlic on top.

4. ✅ Mix the Sauce
In a bowl, whisk together diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, and thyme. Pour over the steak and vegetables.

5. ✅ Slow Cook
Cover and cook:

LOW: 7–8 hours

HIGH: 4–5 hours
until steak is tender and easily pulls apart.

6. ✅ (Optional) Thicken the Sauce
For a thicker gravy, stir in a cornstarch slurry (1 tbsp cornstarch + 1 tbsp cold water) during the last 30 minutes.

7. ✅ Serve & Enjoy
Garnish with parsley and serve hot over mashed potatoes, buttered egg noodles, or steamed rice.

💡 Pro Tips

🔸 Boost the Flavor: Brown onions and peppers in the same skillet after searing the steak for 2–3 minutes to add rich caramelized flavor.
🔸 Oven Option: No slow cooker? Bake everything in a covered Dutch oven at 325°F (160°C) for about 2½–3 hours.
🔸 Make-Ahead Magic: The flavor deepens overnight — store in the fridge up to 4 days or freeze up to 2 months.
