This rich and zesty pasta dish combines tender, juicy chicken strips with a buttery, garlicky cowboy sauce that’s bursting with flavor. Perfect for busy weeknights or when you want something indulgent yet easy to make!



🥣 Ingredients

For the Pasta:

12 oz linguine pasta

2 tbsp olive oil


For the Chicken:

1 lb chicken thighs or breasts, sliced into thin strips

Salt and black pepper, to taste


For the Cowboy Butter Sauce:

1/2 cup unsalted butter

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tbsp Dijon mustard

1 tbsp lemon juice

1 tsp paprika

1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (or to taste)

1 tsp fresh thyme leaves

1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley




🔥 Directions

1️⃣ Cook the Pasta:
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Cook linguine according to package directions until al dente. Drain and drizzle with olive oil to prevent sticking.

2️⃣ Prepare the Chicken:
Season chicken with salt and pepper. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken until golden and fully cooked through, about 5–7 minutes. Remove and set aside.

3️⃣ Make the Sauce:
In the same skillet, melt the butter. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant. Stir in Dijon mustard, lemon juice, paprika, cayenne, thyme, and parsley. Cook for 2 minutes to blend the flavors.

4️⃣ Combine Everything:
Add the chicken and linguine back to the skillet. Toss well until everything is coated in the buttery sauce.

5️⃣ Serve & Garnish:
Taste and adjust seasoning. Garnish with extra parsley and a squeeze of lemon juice if desired. Serve hot and enjoy!
